Dr. Dheer has received several awards for his scholarly work from leading academic institutions, including the Best Paper Award from Academy of Management's Entrepreneurship Division and Outstanding Researcher Award (2016 & 2019) from the College of Business and Department of Management at Eastern Michigan University. Dr. Dheer also received the Best Reviewer Award from Southern Management Association and the Academy of International Business. Dr. Dheer is a passionate educator who aims to help students understand the issues that established and new businesses face, especially in a culturally diverse and integrated world, and identify resolution to these.
Dr. Dheer's research focuses on topics in Entrepreneurship, Cross-cultural Research and Strategy. Dr. Dheer is particularly interested in research on multicultural individuals, in analyzing how they contribute to the creation of new ventures, to established organizations and to societies. He is also interested in research about Entrepreneurial Cognitions and Minority and Women Entrepreneurship.
