Class Instruction: Library support for teaching

Instructors can schedule class workshops, assign our online tutorials, or collaborate with us on library research guides tailored to class assignments. Learn more at Instructional Services for Faculty.

How we can help student and librarian talking at a table

Librarians can help you with all aspects of the research process, including:

  • Understanding assignments.
  • Understanding where to find specific types of information.
  • Effective searching in library resources and websites.
  • Understanding terms like “peer-reviewed,” “scholarly,” and “empirical.”
  • Identifying primary and secondary sources.
  • Evaluating and integrating information sources.
  • Citing and managing sources.
  • Using basic technology and software tools to complete your projects (e.g. Google Docs, Microsoft Office).
