Eastern Michigan University will delay the start of classes on Tuesday, Nov. 12, until 12:30 p.m. due to poor weather conditions. Offices for faculty and staff will open at 11 a.m.
EMU students, faculty, and staff have options for borrowing materials in-person at other libraries. This can be faster than using Interlibrary Loan or MeLCat for delivery.
These reciprocal borrowing arrangements also allow patrons from other institutions that participate in these programs to borrow materials from the EMU Library.
This service allows EMU faculty, staff, and currently registered students to borrow materials in person at participating Michigan libraries. Look for libraries with a Yes under Visiting Patron in this list.
University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University students, faculty and staff are eligible for guest borrowing privileges at the other institution. To qualify, an individual must be a currently enrolled student, faculty, lecturer or staff member in good standing.
Most items circulate for three weeks and may be renewed unless requested by another borrower. Items must be returned to the institution from which they were borrowed. Failure to follow guest borrowing policies and procedures may result in sanctions or termination of privileges from either or both institutions.
