  • Navigating to the Faculty Services Menu

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    The Faculty Services menu provides access to print class lists, submit grades, and view student academic records.

    1. From the My.Emich Faculty tab, navigate to the Self Service channel and click the Expand Self Service Channel to fill screen button.
      The Self Service Main Menu channel is displayed.
    2. Click the Faculty & Advisors link.
      The Faculty Services menu is displayed.

    "New" My.Emich Navigation

    There is no longer a landing page with a comprehensive menu, there are now individual links to all functionality on the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card.

  • Selecting a Term

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    You may be prompted to select a term prior to performing some tasks listed on the Faculty Services menu.

    1. From the Faculty Services menu, click the desired menu (i.e., Student Information, Faculty Courses, Class List or Course/Class Schedule Information menu).
      The selected menu is displayed.
    2. Click the Select a Term pull-down arrow and click the term from the list.
      If selecting a term is not appropriate to the task you want to perform (e.g., viewing a transcript), select the current term.
    3. When you are finished, click the Submit button
      The system will remember the term you picked until you change it or log out of My.Emich.

    "New" My.Emich Navigation:

    You may be prompted to select a term prior to performing some tasks available through the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card. 

    1. From the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card, click the desired link.
    2. Click the Select a Term pull-down arrow and click the term from the list.
      If selecting a term is not appropriate to the task you want to perform (e.g., viewing a transcript), select the current term.
    3. The page will refresh on its own to display information for the term selected. The system will not remember the last term chosen when opening different links.
  • Selecting a CRN

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    You may be prompted to select a Course Reference Number (CRN) prior to performing some tasks listed on the Faculty Services menu.

    1. From the Faculty Services menu, click the desired menu (i.e., Student Information, Faculty Courses, Class List or Course/Class Schedule Information menu).
      The selected menu is displayed.
    2. Click the CRN Selection link.
      The CRN Selection page is displayed.
    3. Click the CRN field pull-down arrow and click the CRN from the list.
      Alternately, you can click the Enter CRN Directly link and type the CRN you want to work with in the CRN field.
    4. When you are finished, click the Submit button.
      The system will remember the CRN you picked until you change it or log out of My.Emich

    "New" My.Emich Navigation:

    The new My.Emich links include CRN selection only where it applies. Depending on the task, this could be chosen from a pull-down list of CRNs or scroll to locate and click the CRN listed in displayed records.

  • Viewing Assigned Courses

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    Instructors can view their assigned courses, including classroom locations and room information.

    1. From the Faculty Services menu, click the Faculty Courses Menu link.
    2. Click the My Assigned Courses link.
      You may be prompted to select a term. The My Assigned Courses page is displayed.
    3. Click a link in the Location column to view furniture layout and space features.
    4. When you are finished, click the Faculty Services tab.
      The Faculty Services menu is displayed.

    "New" My.Emich Navigation

    Instructors can view their assigned courses, including classroom locations and room information.

    1. From the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card, click Faculty Detail Schedule.
    2. Select a term & CRN. The course details are displayed.

    OR

    1. From the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card, click Faculty Week at a Glance.
    2. A calendar view of the current week is displayed.
      1. Courses with meeting dates and times assigned will display within the calendar. Click the displayed course and you will be re-directed to the Faculty Detail Schedule view.
      2. Courses without meeting dates and times will be displayed in a separate list below the calendar. Click the displayed course and you will be re-directed to the Faculty Detail Schedule view.
  • Submitting Final Grades

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    Final grades are posted overnight making them no longer available for update.

    1. From the Faculty Services menu, click the Faculty Courses Menu link.
      The Faculty Courses menu is displayed.
    2. Click the Final Grades link.
      You may be prompted to select a term and CRN. The Final Grades page is displayed.
    3. If the Registration Status field indicates the student is Registered , click the Grade field pull-down arrow and click the grade from the list.
      If the Registration Status field contains Registered , you can assign a grade.
    4. Repeat the steps until you have entered a grade for all registered students listed on the page.
    5. When you are finished, click the Submit button.
      The Final Grades page is displayed.
    6. Scroll to the top of the page.
      Verify The changes you made were saved successfully message is displayed.
    7. If there are more than 25 students in the class, click the Next Record Sets link to view the next 25 students in the list.
      If you click the Next Record Sets link before clicking the Submit button, you will lose any work you have completed on the current page.
    8. Repeat these steps until you have entered a grade for all students registered in the class.
    9. When you are finished, click the Faculty Services tab.
      The Faculty Services menu is displayed.

    "New" My.Emich Navigation:

    1. From the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card, click Faculty Grade Entry.
    2. All assigned courses will be displayed with current term courses sorted to the top.
    3. Click within a row to expand the grade entry area.
    4. Click the Final Grade field pull-down arrow and click the grade from the list.
    5. Repeat the steps until you have entered a grade for all registered students listed on the page.
    6. Click Save.
    7. If there are more than 25 students in the class, click the pagination arrows to view the next 25 students in the list and repeat the entry steps above.
    8. Resolve any error messages if applicable and click Save again.
  • Viewing a Final Grades Summary

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    Instructors can view a summary of grades submitted for a class, including grade changes made to the originally posted grades.

    1. From the Faculty Services menu, click the Faculty Courses menu.
      The Faculty Courses menu is displayed.
    2. Click the Faculty Grade Summary link.
      You may be prompted to select a term and CRN. The Faculty Grades Summary page is displayed.
    3. If there are more than 25 students, click the Next button to view additional students.
    4. When you are finished, click the Faculty Services tab.
      The Faculty Services menu is displayed.

    "New" My.Emich Navigation:

    1. From the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card, click Faculty Grade Summary
    2. Click the Select Term field pull-down arrow to select the term and click Submit.
    3. Click the Section field pull-down arrow to select the course and click Submit Section.
    4. The grade summary will display for the chosen course. The “Final Grade” column reflects the grade entered during grade submission. If the grade was changed, the final grade posted to the student’s academic history will be showing in the “Grade in Academic History” column.
  • Viewing/Printing Class Rosters

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    Anyone with access to the Faculty Services menu can view, print and download a class roster.

    1. From the Faculty Services menu, click the Class List menu.
      The Class List menu is displayed.
    2. Click the Class Roster link.
      You may be prompted to select a term or CRN. The Class Roster for: [CRN] is displayed.
    3. Select File from the browser menu bar and Print from the list.
    4. When you are finished, click the Faculty Services tab.
      The Faculty Services menu is displayed.

    "New" My.Emich Navigation:

    The assigned instructor and select academic department staff can view, print and download a class roster.

    1. From the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card, click Class List
    2. Click the Select a Term field pull-down arrow to select the term. Your list of assigned courses will appear.
    3. Click anywhere within the row to open the corresponding class list.
  • Printing a Class Attendance Sheet

    "Old" My.Emich Navigation:

    Anyone with access to the Faculty Services menu can print a class attendance sheet.

    1. From the Faculty Services menu, click the Class List menu.
      The Class List menu is displayed.
    2. Click the Class Attendance Sheet link.
      You may be prompted to select a term or CRN. The Class Attendance Sign-in Sheet page is displayed.
    3. Click the Print button.
    4. When you are finished, click the Faculty Services tab.
      The Faculty Services menu is displayed.

    "New" My.Emich Navigation:

    1. From the (NEW) Faculty Academic Services Card, click Class Attendance Sheet
    2. Click the Select a Term field pull-down arrow to select the term, then click Submit Term.
    3. Click the Section field pull-down arrow to select the course and click Submit Section.
    4. Click Render Class Attendance Sheet.
    5. Use your browser's built-in options to print the sheet.
