Student Orientation Advising & Registration (SOAR)

What is SOAR?

SOAR is short for Student Orientation Advising and Registration. SOAR is the first event of our Orientation process and is where first year students starting at EMU in a Fall semester will meet their academic advisor and register for their first semester of classes. Students and guests will be led through a variety of events (both together and separately), including a Resource Fair, Financial Aid, and Advising & Registration.

For more information on the SOAR day, visit our What to Expect page.

How to Register

Complete the EMU Enrollment Form at app.emich.edu/orientation.

  • Log in using your EMU NetID and password
  • Select a date that works for you
  •  Note: students may re-login to this system to adjust dates as needed.

Please note that each student may only bring one guest due to capacity limitations.
