Wellness Programs

Eastern Michigan cares about your wellness and work-life balance.  Whether it is help to quit smoking, changing your eating habits or taking your physical fitness to the next level, we are glad to assist.  The Hartford, our employee assistance program, is available 24/7 to provide articles, information and counseling on topics like finances, health and personal issues.

As an employee, you can also take advantage of our discount membership program at our on-campus fitness center.

In addition, we have a state-of-the-art nutrition center where you can receive nutritional consultations, a DEXA body fat reading, or attend a free cooking class with a registered dietitian.

And, if you or a family member is trying to quit smoking, we have tobacco cessation resources available.

    Eastern boasts a 188,000 square foot fitness complex called Olds/Robb Student Recreation/Intramural Complex. The building features fitness rooms with cardio machines and weights, an indoor track, several types of courts, two swimming pools, whirlpool and a sauna. A variety of fitness classes are also available.

    Eastern's Eagle Nutrition Services (ENS) promotes healthy living through it's many programs available in Rackham Hall. Faculty and staff are welcome to call or stop by to learn more about individual nutrition counseling, nutrient analysis, body composition testing and more.

    The ENS is staffed by junior and senior dietetic students under the supervision of a registered dietitian.
