Michigan Reconnect Scholarship

Eastern Michigan University is proud to offer recipients of the Michigan Reconnect scholarship program the opportunity the continue their education journey and help them complete a higher degree. Michigan Reconnect is a scholarship program through the state of Michigan that pays for you to attend your in-district community college tuition-free, and offers a large tuition discount if you attend an out-of-district community college. Eastern Michigan University is proud to offer an additional scholarship opportunity to Michigan Reconnect recipients who complete an associate degree at a Michigan community college. 

Reconnect recipients who enroll at EMU will receive an EMU Reconnect Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 per year ($500 each semester). 

The EMU Reconnect Scholarship is available to new transfer students only. It cannot be combined with other transfer scholarships and is not available to students enrolling in programs that are already discounted such as RN to BSN or Information Assurance and Cyber Defense (online).

Students who receive the EMU Reconnect Scholarship must enroll for at least 12 credit hours per semester (Fall and Winter) and maintain an EMU grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or above in order to maintain scholarship eligibility.
