EMU offers an exclusive discount tuition opportunity with Guild Employer partners. Eastern Michigan University will provide employees of Guild Employer partners with a 25 percent tuition discount for undergraduate courses and a 33 percent discount for graduate courses in any of our more than 200 majors, minors, and graduate programs. The offer applies to those taking full or part-time schedules, and to all programs at EMU, with the exception of already discounted programs.

To meet the needs of today’s workforce, class options include fully online, on campus and hybrid models (mix of online and on campus), with a variety of academic programs to suit every prospective student’s interests.

As a statewide leader in the seamless transition of credits from other institutions, including community colleges, Eastern also provides a prior learning assessment, in which students may receive academic credit for previous work experience. Each individual college will work with each student to assess opportunities for previous academic credit.

Steps To Get Started

Tuition Discount Steps:

  1. Choose a program that is of interest to you. Explore our colleges and schools to find a program.
  2. Apply for admission. 
  3. Work with your advisor to enroll in courses. 
  4. Apply for your sponsorship letter through Guild. 
  5. Send your sponsorship letter to [email protected] as soon as you receive it. Deadline to submit the sponsorship letter is the first day of the term.
