Summer & Fall 2024 Scheduled Registration Times
You may add/drop at any time during or after your scheduled registration time.
DO NOT attempt to register before your appointment time.
Your scheduled registration time is based on your total earned hours (Winter 2024 hours do not count towards your totals). To verify your total earned hours, see your online Academic Transcript accessible through your my.emich account.
New Undergraduate and Transfer Students
If you are a new undergraduate student for summer or fall 2024, you are required to meet with an advisor before registering. Until you have done so, you will not be able to register.
New first semester (freshmen) students for summer or fall 2024 should visit emich.edu/admit to schedule an academic advising appointment.
All other new undergraduate students should contact their college advising center directly for an appointment. Click on one of the links below to schedule an appointment.
Declared majors
- Schedule an advising appointment with the College of Arts and Sciences
- Schedule an advising appointment with the College of Business
- Schedule an advising appointment with the College of Education
- Schedule an advising appointment with the GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology

Exploratory or Undeclared Majors
You will not be able to register online if:
- You do not have a current admission status.
- You were admitted or re-enrolled for a term, but did not register. You will need to update your admission.
- You have been academically dismissed.
- You try to register before your appointment time.
- You have an academic, financial, judicial or Title IX hold (see more information on Title IX holds below).
- You are a new undergraduate student and have not met with an academic advisor (see above).
- You have not registered for two years. You will need to re-enroll.
Title IX Training:
Each academic year, all EMU students are required to complete a mandatory online training program focusing on sexual assault and gender-based discrimination prevention and awareness.
If you did not complete the training during the winter semester, and are a returning student, you cannot register for summer or fall 2024 classes until you’ve completed the training! It can take 24-48 business hours before we’re notified and can end your registration hold, so act fast!
