The M.M. degree in Conducting at EMU is geared towards students who are curious, eager to learn, hardworking, and passionate about developing their craft.
Every graduate student has slightly different aspiration and we will tailor the graduate school experience to what each student needs. Each M.M. Conducting student has a tailored degree path to increase success post-masters study.
Students will gain experiences on the podium that are not common in other conducting programs.
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do! Each year the Eastern Michigan Choral program invites the nation's finest conductors and composers to work with our students. In recent years, EMU students have worked with Jake Runestad, Dr. Bruce Chamberlain, Dr. Jerry Blackstone, Stacey Gibbs, Dr. Kevin Fenton, Dr. Daniel Bara, Dr. Lee Nelson, Dr. Kristina MacMullen and many others.
