The Season Begins with the Holiday Candlelight Concert

The Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Holiday Candlelight Concert is a collaboration of students, faculty, and community members creating the most beautiful collection of music you’ll hear during the holiday season. About the Concert

Are you ready to celebrate the most significant holiday event on Eastern Michigan University's campus? The Candlelight Concert is back, and it's bigger and better than ever! This annual December fundraiser is a musical extravaganza that supports the EMU Choral Department and its talented students.

This year's Candlelight Concert, titled "Let It Shine," celebrates both traditional and contemporary holiday music. The program features compositions by living composers such as Hyo-won Woo, Sarah Quartel, and Zanaida Robles, alongside familiar carols, and even includes an opportunity for the audience to sing along. During the concert, you will enjoy performances from the EMU Organ Studio, various choral ensembles, voice faculty, and more. We hope this event helps to prepare your heart and mind for the beauty of the holiday season.

The Candlelight concert is a collaborative effort of students, faculty members, and community members from all walks of life. Each artist strives to renew, inspire, and connect with the audience, making it a truly special and unique event.

The best part? This is the only ticketed event of the year, so it's the perfect opportunity to show your support for the EMU Choral Department.  Your contribution to this meaningful event will help us to continue educating students, connecting with the community, and fostering collaboration. Thank you for considering contributing to this special occasion.
