Who: Approximately 85 student musicians 9th–12th grade will be selected to participate in the EMU Honors Band by audition.
When: January 18–20, 2019
Rehearsals: Friday: 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m.**
Sunday: 10:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Concert: Sunday: 2:00 p.m.
**Accommodations may be made for students participating in MSBOA Solo and Ensemble**
Where: The EMU Honors Band will take place on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. EMU Honors Band students will be housed overnight at an area hotel and supervised the entire weekend by a select group of EMU student counselors. Activities will culminate in a concert performance at Pease Auditorium on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
How: AIM Day
Fee: $175 (includes all meals, housing, transportation, sectional instruction by applied faculty, social events, and a professional recording of the concert.) Due in mid-December after being selected to participate.
Scholarships: Up to four outstanding student musicians will be awarded full talent-based scholarships to participate in the EMU Honors Band based on auditions.
