2024 EMU Honor Choir

Cost: $35.00 per singer (covers music, two meals & concert parking)

The EMU Honor Choir experience will include
  • the opportunity to make music with high-level musicians from across the state
  • the opportunity to sing with the EMU Choir
  • the opportunity to participate in vocal masterclasses to learn more about healthy singing
  • the opportunity to perform a choral-orchestral work with the Honor Orchestra

Steps for singer involvement
  1. Teachers fill out registration form and pays the fee online. REGISTRATION CLOSES on October 15, 2024. 
  2. EMU Choral Program will contact each student once they are registered. 
  3. Pay online
  4. Students show up ready to make music for this one-day experience

 

A few logistical details
  • Student Drop-off location is Pease Auditorium

  • Concert Dress-Please wear whatever your home high school ensemble wears in concert.

  • PDF's of Music-
    • We will give students music when they arrive but for practice beforehand. 
  • Once the students are dropped off at EMU we will care for them all day.  While a parent or chaperone is welcome none is required after check-in.  Teachers are welcome to be present all day but not required. 
  • The events will be held on NOVEMBER 8th from 8:30 am -8:30 pm
  • We will be partnering with the EMU Honor Orchestra for one selection.
  • If you can't recommend a full (SATB) quartet individual students will be invited based on the balance of the ensemble.
  • Free Parking throughout the day.
