Getting Connected

What do I need to get connected?

To access the wireless network you will need the following:

  • Windows 7 or higher, Macintosh OSX or Chromebook
  • Wireless Access card that supports the 802.11b or 802.11g wireless standards
  • Appropriate drivers
  • A valid my.emich username and password
  • Location with wireless access available

How do I get connected?

If you have the required hardware and are in a service area, simply open your web browser and you will be prompted for your my.emich username and password. Once you supply this information, you will be allowed to connect to EMU resources and the internet.

Note: When you leave a wireless service area, you may be required to login again once you enter another area (depending on how long you are out of the service area).
