  • Creating an Apple Login

    An Apple ID and Password are required to purchase non-CRP computers and peripherals (e.g., laptop docking stations).

    Follow these directions to create an Apple Login:

    1. Click Create an Apple Login to create your login.
    2. The Please Sign in page is displayed. Click the Register link.
    3. The My Access page is displayed. Click the Sign Up button.
    4. The Identification page is displayed:
      1. Complete the contact information
      2. Enter the verification code
      3. Click the Next button
    5. The Please Check Your Email page is displayed.
    6. Locate the Validate Apple ID for Business email message in your inbox for the account you entered in step number 4:
      1. Copy the Validation Key
      2. Paste it into the Validation Key field
      3. Click the Continue button
    7. The Primary Location Selection page is displayed. Click the Continue button.
    8. The Company/Institution page is displayed:
      1. Type Eastern Michigan Univ in the Customer Account Number field
      2. Select United States
      3. Select Michigan
      4. Click the Submit button.
    9. A list of companies/institutions matching the search criteria is displayed. Click the radio button next to EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIV.
    10. Click the Next button.
    11. The Contract Agreement page is displayed. Click the I Agree button.
    12. The Security page is displayed. Complete the requested information and then click the Next button.
    13. The Application Access page is displayed. Complete the requested information and then click the Next button.
    14. The Confirmation page is displayed. Review the information provided and then click the Close button.
  • Purchasing Apple Peripherals

    An Apple ID and password is required to generate an order for peripherals. If you do not have a login, refer to Creating an Apple ID and Password for complete instructions.

    Follow these directions to create an Apple peripheral order:

    1. Go to our computer refresh program page.
    2. Click the Purchasing a Computer menu item on the right.
    3. Scroll down and click the Purchase Apple Peripherals link.
    4. The Apple Login page is displayed. Type your Apple ID and Password in the designated fields and click the Sign In button.

    Note: If you don't remember your password, click the Forgot Password button. Type your Apple ID at the prompt and click Next to select an authentication method for resetting your password.

    1. Click the Apple Online Store link.

    Note: Purchase of non-standard computer models and Pcard computer/iPad purchases must be pre-approved by the Director of Desktop and Classroom Technology. For additional information, please contact Aric Kirkland via email at [email protected].

    1. The Welcome page is displayed. Scroll down the page to the Browse Your Catalog section and click the Expand Catalog link on the right.
    2. A list of Mac Accessories is displayed:
      • Click the link for type of Mac Accessories you desire to purchase
      • Select an accessory and type the Quantity desired
      • Click the Add to Cart link
    3. Your cart is displayed. Click the Checkout button.
    4. Verify the Shipping Address or use the drop-down arrow to select another address.
    5. Enter your Payment Card (PCARD) information in the Payment fields.
    6. Select a Shipping Method.
    7. Click the Verify Order button to review and place your order.
  • Creating an Apple Proposal

    An Apple ID and password is required to generate a quote. If you do not have a login, refer to Creating an Apple ID and Password for complete instructions.

    Follow these directions to create an Apple Proposal:

    1. Click the Apple Online Store link.
    2. The Apple Login page is displayed. Type your Apple ID and Password in the designated fields and click the Sign In button.

    Note: If you don't remember your password, click the Forgot Password button. Type your Apple ID at the prompt and click Next to select an authentication method for resetting your password.

    1. Select one of the recommended (standard) computers and click Buy Now.
    2. The Recommended System Details are displayed. Click the Add to Cart button.

    Note: The AppleCare Protection Plan is required for all non-CRP computer purchases. Add the AppleCare Protection Plan to your cart if it was not added automatically. 

    1. The Cart is displayed. Click the Send Proposal link.

    1. Type the Proposer Information in the designated fields.
    2. Click the Submit button.
    3. Record the Proposal Number and Purchase Amount for your online requisition.
